CHEM 3120U - Advanced Organic Chemistry

This course is taught in the Winter semester at Ontario Tech University, and it examines the application of advanced synthetic methodologies used in modern organic synthesis. Emphasis will be placed on a mechanistic understanding of retrosynthetic analysis, stereochemical control, chemoselectivity, and protection/deprotection schemes.

Students will have the opportunity in this class to gain advanced level laboratory experience, work collaboratively in class to solve problems, and have the opportunity to present organic reactions at the board in front the class.
