Claire Carscadden
Claire Carscadden is from a rural area outside Owen Sound, Ontario. She is pursuing an Honors Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Chemistry with a minor in Biology, and is completing her honors thesis at the interface of chemistry and biology under the supervision of Dr. Desaulniers. She is excited to master new laboratory techniques and learn the ins and outs of performing research. Outside of her studies, Claire may be found at the gym, exploring new recipes in the kitchen, or curled up with her pets.
Saher Niazi
Saher Niazi is a fourth year Life Sciences student at Ontario Tech University, pursuing minors in chemistry and psychology. Saher is excited to complete her undergraduate thesis project about azobenzenes and their properties in biological systems. She can't wait to use this opportunity to learn more biochemistry, biophysics, and organic chemistry in the Desaulniers' lab! In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing video games, and watching movies/shows.
